Brief Bio:
Graduated from University of Virginia with BS in ME, 1999
Worked at Northrop Grumman shipyard in Newport News for over 8 years:
o Worked Steam Propulsion Plant overhauls on Nuclear Aircraft Carriers.
o Worked fluid flow, strength of materials, and heat exchanger calculations to resolve emergent issues in production.
o Significant experience with heat exchangers, piping, and valves.
o Went on aircraft carrier sea trials (rode ship during high speed turns, etc.).
o Currently supervisor for an engineering group managing the ship class propulsion plant configuration and resolving class-wide technical issues.
