Every student who joins one of the "Divine Nine" organizations becomes a member of NPHC. The Council is the governing body for the ninet historically African American organizations of the Old Dominion campus. Each chapter has a delegate and alternate delegate to the Council, in addition to the chapter President. The Council strives for Greek unity and high standards for each member. The Council also provides community service opportunities, educational programs, and social events to all University students. The Old Dominion University's National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated (NPHC) is currently composed of all "Divine Nine" (9) International Greek letter Sororities and Fraternities. Old Dominions University's National Pan-Hellenic Council promotes interaction through forums, meetings and other mediums for the exchange of information and engages in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions.
